Tetrapak printing is an engraving method in which the design to be printed is scratched directly into a plate, or in this case a tetrapak, with a sharply pointed instrument. It is similar to dry point or intaglio printing techniques. Tetrapaks are a common food packaging, usually used for drinks and plant based milk cartons. You will be led through the process and get tips and tricks for the best way to engrave and print, but otherwise just explore the wonderful process.

This is a beginner friendly workshop; no previous knowledge is required. All materials will be provided by the workshop, and you will be able to take your plates and print home with you. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting stained just in case, as this can be a very messy process!

In this 3 hour workshop we will cover the basics about the materials being used The workshop will be held in English. Please come with a design in mind to engrave and print in this workshop. We will be working only in 1 colour, black. Because of the different sizes of tetrapaks, we will be working in a variety of sizes, but approximately A6.
